*USBC Sanctioned Leagues

  Monday

       *Northern Seniors Mixed

                   12:50pm practice/1:00pm start      

This is a four person mixed league for individuals that are over 50 years of age. The league runs a 50/50 raffle monthly as well as a mystery game and a high over average jackpot. It is a fun league for the not so serious bowler.

             Desperate Housewives

                   12:50pm practice/1:00pm start

The Desperate Housewives league consists of teams of 3 women who are looking to have a good time while getting to catch up on the gossip during the early afternoon. This league runs along with the school calendar having holidays and regular breaks due to many of the bowlers having children in school. Babysitting is provided at a minimal fee.

             *City A

                    6:05pm practice/6:15 start 
                         This league is for the little more serious bowler who has a little more 
                          experience on the lanes. Teams consist of 5 bowlers.   Brackets are run
                          weekly for an additional $5 per bracket. The season runs weekly with
                         34 weeks in the league. An end of the season banquet is included. 

             *Protestors

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

The Protestors league is a 5 person mixed league. Brackets are run weekly during this 33 week long league for an additional $5 per bracket. An end of the season pizza party is included.

             Bad Bowlers

                   9pm practice/9:10pm start

                         New bowlers and beginners, this league is for you! Three games of 
                        9 pin no-tap are bowled weekly, 9pins=strike! This is a short season 
                        league lasting only 10 weeks. A pitcher of soda or beer goes to each 
                        team each week. This is a fun league, no competition.

              *PBA Experience

                   9:20pm practice/9:30pm start

This is a competitive 3 person team league that bowls on a different PBA oil pattern each week. Information is given out describing each oil pattern before scoring starts. This league takes breaks when college is not in session (winter break/spring break) as many of the bowlers are from local colleges. Bowlers in this league are invited to attend City A’s end of the season banquet.

 Tuesday

          *Tuesday Specials

                   Noon practice/12:10pm start

This is a 3 person men’s league. It is a casual league for men who like to socialize. Looking to make a few new friends?  Join this fun league!

             *Northern Stars

                   6pm practice/6:10pm start

This is the largest women’s league at Northern Lanes which consists of teams of 5 women. A lot of teams rotate their rosters so members don’t have to bowl each week. There are holiday give-aways and lots of laughs. The league bowls weekly and runs for 32 weeks.  There are regular 50/50 drawings weekly.

Volleyball Bowling

                   6pm practice/6:10pm start

This is one of our new leagues for the season! This is a 3 person mixed league for people interested in bowling and who also play volleyball.  If your team bowls every week during this league, then their volleyball fees will be paid for in the spring at Northern Lanes.

*Tuesday Trio

                   9pm practice/9:10pm start

Tuesday Trio is a 3 person per team mixed league. The league runs a mystery game weekly. Bowling for this league lasts 34 weeks. An end of the season banquet is included.

           *Red Wings League

                        9pm practice/9:10pm start

Join this league and get tickets to a Red Wings game, a parking pass, and food vouchers! This four person mixed league is all about fun! This league is a short season league and runs in two 15 week sessions; so you can choose to bowl in the first session, the second, or both!

Wednesday

          *Wednesday Youth

                   4pm practice/4:10 start  

This youth league bowls in 3 ten week sessions, bowl one or all three! Bowlers are put into divisions by age. Number of bowlers per team depends on the number of sign ups. Coaching is included. An end of the year banquet and awards ceremony is held for this league along with parties near major holidays.

             Cookies & Milk

                   4pm start

The cookies and milk league is for beginning bowlers that are not old enough to bowl in our youth league as of yet. This league is perfect for little siblings of youth bowlers! This is a short season league lasting only 8 weeks! Bowlers will bowl 1 game each week and shoes are included. Bumpers and ball ramps are available. The best part is each bowler gets a glass of milk or juice and a fresh baked cookie!

             *Eastman Auto

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

This league is a five person men’s league. A 50/50 raffle is held weekly at the same time that Northern Recs league bowls.

             *Northern Recs

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

This 32 week league is a 5 person women’s league. A 50/50 raffle is held weekly along with the Eastman Auto league. 

  Thursday

          *Women’s Morning Majors

                   9:30am practice/9:40am start

Women’s Morning Majors is a women’s trio league. The league holds a 50/50 raffle weekly.

             *Northern Trails

                   6:00pm practice/6:10pm start

This is a fairly competitive league for medium to high average bowlers. Teams consist of 5 men. Brackets are available weekly for an additional $5 per bracket. After the league you can enjoy karaoke in the lounge every Thursday at 9pm!

 Friday

          Seniors Doubles

1pm practice/1:10pm start

This league is new for the 2010-2011 season! Join this fun league for teams of two seniors. Many fun games played weekly!

             *City C

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

City C is a 5 person mixed league. A 50/50 raffle is held weekly.  Free cover to get into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment each night of league bowling!

             *Finally Friday

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

This is a new league for the 2010-2011 season! This is a trio league. This league is every Friday with food and drink specials nightly! Also, free cover into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment is included each night of league play.

 Saturday

          *Saturday Youth

                   8:30am practice/8:40am start or 11am practice/11:10am start

The youth league is run in 3 sessions, bowl one or all three! Bowlers are put into divisions by age. Coaching is included. An end of the year banquet and awards ceremony is held for this league as well as a potluck near major holidays.

This is an every other Saturday 4 person mixed doubles league. Free cover into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment each night of league play!

             *6:30 Misfits

                   6:20pm practice/6:30pm start

6:30 Misfits is an every other week league. This 16 week league runs a 50/50 weekly. Free cover into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment each night of league play! This is a 4 person mixed doubles league.

            *6:30 Tumblers

                   6:20pm practice/6:30pm start

This is a 4 person mixed doubles league that bowls every other Saturday.  Free cover into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment each night of league play! The league lasts 16 weeks.

             *Night Owls

                   9pm practice/9:10pm start

The Night Owls is an every other Saturday league. Teams consist of 4 person mixed doubles. A 50/50 raffle and men’s and women’s strike jackpot are run weekly. This league lasts 18 weeks. An end of the season banquet is included along with free cover into the lounge to enjoy live entertainment each night of league play!   

Sunday

          Sunday Strikes and Spares

                   10am start

This is an every other week league for individuals with disabilities. Teams consist of 3-4 people. This league bowls two games each week.

             *R-Friends

                   3pm practice/3:10pm start

This is an every other Sunday 4 person mixed league. A 50/50 raffle is held weekly. An end of the season banquet/potluck is included.

             Kids Bowl Free Child/Adult

                   6pm practice/6:10pm start

You bowled with us this summer, why not continue! A great way to spend time as a family! This league is an every other Sunday league. Teams consist of one child and one adult. This 16 week league includes an end of the season pizza party. 

          *Sandy Ridge Rollers

                   6pm practice/6:10pm start

This is a fun league that consists mainly of golfers from Sandy Ridge. Teams on this league are made up of 4 person mixed doubles. This league bowls every other week.

          *Sunday Funnies

                   6:05pm practice/6:15pm start

Sunday Funnies is a 4 person mixed doubles league that bowls every other Sunday. Enjoy a nice Sunday night out with other couples!

             Northern Saints

                   6:20pm practice/6:30pm start

This is an every other Sunday league. Teams consist of 4 person mixed doubles. The league members have a religious following.

             Moonlight Bowl

                   9pm start

Moonlight Bowl is a drop in fun tournament held every Sunday. This nine pin no-tap tournament is held during Northern Lights bowling so the lanes are dark with black lights illuminating the pins. Every strike with a colored head pin wins $1! Many other jackpots and prizes! Entry is $15 a person for three games and shoe rental. Begins September 19, 2010. Reservations required.
